DUTCH DESIGN & ART WITHIN NATURE
art reflects the evolution of man

By looking at the other, we define ourselves. But most of the time we overlook the fact that our frame of reference determines to a large extent how we look at the other person. What do we see? Especially in our faces we look for landmarks to be able to determine our attitude. Small differences in nuances can make a world of difference. That is what I realized looking at my images. Increasingly, I wondered if someone else recognized what I wanted to express.

I think there will always be a difference of perception. The question is therefore whether a work of art can be interpreted without further explanation. I don’t want to answer that question. That’s why I often work in series of 4 images. The process must give some answers. One of the images, often a sublimation of other images, is the basic image. The basic image determines which style I use.
